GE Healthcare has unveiled its latest innovation in healthcare, the Versana Premier R3, an AI-powered ultrasound device, at the International Conference on Clinical Ultrasonography in Practice (CUSP) held at Chennai Trade Centre on September 28, 2024. The device, entirely manufactured in India by an all-women inclusive workforce at GE's Bangalore facility, aligns with the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
The Versana Premier is designed to make ultrasound technology accessible and affordable, particularly in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. It boasts features like auto tissue optimization, continuous scanning, and true AI assistance in decision-making, making it a user-friendly and efficient diagnostic tool. The True AI is designed to learn the device operator’s preferences for particular types of diagnoses and can repeat them automatically in the future without switching to multiple screens to change the device settings during the scan.
GE Healthcare's Business Head - Primary care Ultrasound - South Asia, Mr. Manoj Kumar Singh, and Executive GE Healthcare, Business growth leader, Head Ultrasound (South Asia), Mr. AnupKumar Ramachandran, highlighted the company's commitment to creating clinically relevant and usable features. The launch event was graced by several healthcare professionals, including Dr. Suresh, Dr. Indrani, Dr. Supriya, Dr. Girish, Dr. Preeti Venkatesh, and Dr. Pranav Pandiya.
With the Versana Premier, GE Healthcare aims to revolutionize ultrasound diagnostics in India, making it more accessible and affordable for all.
